Abstract Study Many artists sign their name to a painting and then follow it with the initials of one or more of the various art societies of which they are a 'Signature Member'. I usually avoid this convention, but with an abstract painting you have to or people won't take it seriously. Hence the signature on this one; Pavloff B.S.P.S.A, indicating that I am a signature member of the Bigshot Painters and Sculptors of America, a group I founded years ago for just this purpose.

This started out as a
Class 8 'paint your way out of the mud' exercise which began to take on a life of it's own. Meanwhile, Juan and
Carmen are still in love, and Carlos is just in love with himself. Finally - Pavloff stepped up and took responsibility for the whole mess.

Tidal Zone Another afternoon spent goofing off in the studio, but it beats working and it's so much fun it's almost embarrassing. Now you're going to look at it and say, "My kid could'a done that!" And you're probably right. Kids like to goof off as much as we do, and a lot of times they're even better at it! |
